EI’s team of geotechnical engineers design investigations to evaluate the strength characteristics of soil based on the needs of the project. Expected subsurface conditions, property size, and budget constraints determine the extent of testing. Soil borings are advanced and analysed to assess bearing capacity of the soil and potential settlement of the foundations. Test data are evaluated and recommendations are made to meet the foundation design needs of each project. Solutions for correcting poor soil conditions and challenging site topography are provided in the report.
